Ripley Running Club – Weekly Round up
Weekly Round up – WC 12th October 2020
This Past Week….
Tuesday nights once again were well attended and continue to operate under Covid-19 restrictions. Group 1 saw a 5 mile time trial led by Richard ‘Bunda’ Phillis from Codnor Market Place.
Group 2 saw a 7ish mile Sawmills loop with 3 miles at pace led by Esther Broughton.
Group 3 saw an off-road team undertake a steady hour with Alison Mick Wareham. Starting at the Cliff Inn, Crich.
Group 4 saw a Steady 5 miles with Neil Worthy from Swanwick.
Once again, well done all for organising and leaders who organised the individual runs.
Also, a few members took up the challenge to run the handicap route.

Ripley Runners Race Round-up
Bit quieter on the race front this weekend for RRC members. All events/routes taken from Strava.
One runner did manage to get a race in. Jo Ingram completed the virtual Derby 10k. Jo completed her virtual 10k in 1 hour and 3 minutes. Well done Jo.

Sarah Hill also managed the Thoresby half Marathon in a good time of 1 hour 45 minutes.
Neil Worthy finishing leg 3 at Cromford
Various members took on the Derwent Valley relay. This was an inter club event organised brilliantly by Luke Beresford. Supported by Mike Corrigan and Mick Wareham. Well done all for a good morning of running and racing. Well done Ripley Rockets sneaking the win on the last leg. All legs took on various parts of the Derwent Valley with results below:

Luke Beresford has organised a social away run on Saturday around Hartington. There will be two groups going and again, if you’re interested, get in touch with Luke.
